Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Effective October 2026
This policy covers the consumer health data Coachero collects, as required by Washington's My Health My Data Act and Nevada's consumer health data law. Our general Privacy Policy covers everything else.
Consumer health data we collect
- Body and goals. Age, sex, height, current and target weight, weight history, body measurements, body-fat percentage, activity level and your goal (for example, lose fat or gain muscle).
- Training. Workouts, exercises, sets, reps and weights, training plans, strength goals, step counts and calories burned.
- Nutrition. Food and meal logs, saved meals, pantry items, calories, macronutrients and supplements.
- Sleep. Hours slept.
- Notes and questions. Journal entries, day notes, and questions you ask the in-app coach.
- Photos and voice. Photos of meals and nutrition labels, and voice clips when you use dictation. These are analysed and not stored; the results are.
- Information we derive. Your calorie and macro targets, maintenance estimate, energy balance, insights, and the coaching, digests and profile the app's AI features produce from the data above.
Why we collect it and how we use it
To provide the features you use: logging and tracking, your calorie and macro targets, charts and trends, and AI coaching and estimates. We also record which app features are used (feature names and counts, not what you log) to keep the app working and improve it. We do not use consumer health data for advertising and we do not sell it.
Sources
- You, when you enter, photograph or dictate it in the app.
- The app, which derives targets, estimates and insights from what you entered.
Consumer health data we share, and with whom
We share consumer health data only with service providers that process it on our behalf, under contracts that limit them to providing the service:
- Anthropic (anthropic.com): the data an AI feature needs to answer, such as a meal photo or your question and the fitness context for it.
- Groq (groq.com): voice clips, for transcription.
- Neon (neon.com): database hosting for all of the data above.
- Render (render.com): application hosting, through which all of the data above passes.
- Sentry (sentry.io): error reports, configured to exclude personal data.
If you buy Pro, Stripe (stripe.com) processes the payment. It receives your email address and payment details, not anything you log, but a purchase from Coachero could indicate that you use a fitness app.
The Android app also shows optional rewarded video ads from Google AdMob (google.com), a third party. AdMob receives your device's advertising ID and standard ad-request information. It does not receive anything you log. Because Coachero is a fitness app, an ad request could indicate that you use one.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data, and access it. You can export it yourself in the app (Me › Settings › Export my data).
- Get a list of every third party and affiliate we have shared it with, with their contact information.
- Withdraw your consent to its collection and sharing.
- Have it deleted. You can delete your account yourself in the app (Me › Settings › Delete account), which deletes your data from our database; copies in backups expire on their normal schedule. We also notify any provider above that holds a copy, and AdMob, to delete it.
To make a request, email hello@coachero.co from the address on your account, so we can verify it is you. We respond within 45 days, and if we need longer (up to 45 more days) we will tell you why. Requests are free, up to twice a year.
If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to our decision with "Appeal" in the subject. We will answer the appeal in writing within 45 days, with our reasons. If the appeal is denied, you can contact the Washington State Attorney General (atg.wa.gov) or the Nevada Attorney General (ag.nv.gov).
